Opening a new branch
Your business address is where you are active with your company, for example, your shop, office, branch, warehouse or workshop. This can be the same address as your registered office, domicile address or another address. Are you opening one or more branches? Then you must register this as soon as possible in the CBC through a recognised business counter such as icounter. The rates are determined by law.
Changing your registered office
Do you have a company, and is the address of your registered office moving as well? Then a few extra administrative steps are required. This change will have an impact on the articles of association of your company. To make this official, you must have your new address published in the Belgian Official Gazette. You can arrange this through your notary, accountant or business counter.
Notify your local authority
Each municipality has its own regulations for opening a commercial shop. This may involve the obligation to offer a number of parking spaces to your customers, conditions for placing a sign or advertising board, fire safety conditions, etc. Be sure to ask what the regulations are in your municipality.
