Your business is constantly evolving, and you may be getting to the point where you want to change your business name. A new commercial name

Are you expanding your range, targeting a new market, or have you just made a major acquisition? Your company name is not set in stone, and can therefore evolve. Your business has a commercial and social name. It can be the same one, but not necessarily. Do you just want to change your commercial name? Check first in the CBC if your new name is not already in use. If not, you pass on your new name to the CBC and your name change is officially a fact.

A new corporate name

Do you have a company and do you also want to change the corporate name? Then there is a bit more administration involved. In that case, you must have your company change of name published in the Belgian Official Gazette. If your company is a VOF or CommV, you can simply pass the change on via the business counter. If you have a different form of company, this requires a visit to the notary.
